Nick and Alana were very conscious of having a meaningful ceremony – not only for them, but their friends and family and fellow activists. Pulling from their personal political beliefs, we helped craft a ceremony that felt like we were all involved in helping to shape their relationship, and that we had a stake in their success as a couple as they moved forward into this next phase, marriage.
It was a beautiful spring morning in Little Lithuania Park in Baltimore, MD, and they invited me to spend their brunch reception with them as well, which was an honor, considering how much I love brunch! (Just kidding, you two…. but really, who doesn’t love brunch?) Ending a fun afternoon with dancing to a live soul band, we had the rest of the beautiful weekend to reflect on such a significant ceremony.
